Use widget to select sector

Calculation Methodology: Strong Bullish trend when ADX > 25 AND prevailing trend is up (i.e. plusDI > minusDI); Strong Bearish trend when ADX > 25 AND prevailing trend is down (i.e. plusDI < minusDI)
Only Current S&P500 constituents are considered (even for historical dates)

How to use this:
  • Decreasing numbers of stocks with bullish trends may indicate trend reversal for the broader market or a particular sector
  • Similarly, increasing numbers of bullish/bearish trends may indicate strengthening momentum
  • Note the difference between Signals and Trends for various technical indicators. See Guide for further details

  • Interpretation above is not comprehensive but rather just a starting point of understanding. Experienced market professionals typically use a combination of different datapoints to drive decisions
